It depends on the degree of corrosion. Since corrosion cannot be repaired, there is only a prayer. Make sure your electronics is completely dried out, then power it up outside your house on Halloween night. Kids will appreciate the sparks and smoke.

As for disinfecting it: mold is heat sensitive - it likes cold wet dark environments best (in sealed cask, furry adipocere!) - so having your electronics running outdoor for a day or two should take care of disinfecting the inards. You wash the case from outside with household disinfectant cleaners like Lysol but I advise against spraying any liquid on the circuits, especially not stuff like bleach (eats metals) or rubbing alcohol (eats resin wire insulation). If it makes you feel better, you can also try blowing hot air into it from a hair gun, or tumble it in a laundry dryer, or hang it up in a cold hardwood smoke for ten days.

Submission + - Failed Avionics a possible cause of BA038 crash (timesonline.co.uk)

Muhammar writes: "As you have heard by now, both engines of the Boeing 777 aircraft flight BA038 suddenly cut off without warning at very low altitude and low speed during autopilot-assisted landing at Heathrow. A prompt reaction of the pilots prevented the stall and saved all lives aboard; the crash landing short of runway tore off the landing gear on impact; the fuselage plowed a long deep gouge in the grass. With the investigation ongoing, the available information points to electronic control problem as the most likely cause of the sudden engine power loss."

Calvinism, in a word.

If you're rich, it's because God has seen fit to bestow His favors upon you.
If you're poor, it's because God has withheld His favors.

Once again:
Rich==Good
Poor==Bad

Because of this, you can never have enough, and in particular, you can never have a big enough gap between you and then next rung on the ladder. Competitiveness is literally for Father's Love.

Anything that inhibits the pursuit of happiness (i.e. property) oppresses the ability for God to bestow grace, and thus is sacrilege. Also, it's only okay to provide charity to people who are truly in miserable straights, because you are insulting others if you assume they need your help. And while you're providing charity you should probably mention that all their hardship would go away if they'd just be more the way God wants 'em to be.

I advise you strongly to abort your comments criticizing the government in any form, in any forum.

Ridicule is the psychological weapon of the supporters of unchecked authority. If they do not find you here on Slashdot they will identify you indirectly in society--in public, at pubs, at your job, in any social forum which you find.

Do yourself a favor. Give in to the unquestionable authority of those in power. They know what is best for you. You will only earn yourself a life of misery should you ever manage to make a real argument.

Journal Journal: Conscience

A coworker recently told me that studies by psychologists have suggested that men under the age of 25 do not have a well-developed sense of conscience. Growing up, I guess it never occurred to me that the people around me didn't have the same sense of right and wrong. It's enlightening and depressing at the same time.
