You know I do want it both ways. I want the Bush administration to vigorously pursuit terrorists AND prosecute criminals. But its helpful to know the difference between the people who want to free puppies and the ones who want to kill thousands of innocent civilians. I really don't give a shit if they round up ALF and ELF and throw them all in jail. But that's not part of the GWOT and neither is Iraq. Its just exploiting a political opportunity.
When the Bush administration chooses to divert precious resources to pursue left wing fringe nut cases rather than dangerous terrorist organizations, the terrorists win. Thats why Bush's approach has will inevitably fail. Bin Laden planned 911 for twenty years. The Republicans can't keep their eye on the ball for two years without running off on politically motivated targents.
And I don't think I ever called the Republicans evil. I said they are incompetent. I stand by that.
