Carbon removal is not mentioned with any word there, so it doesn't exclude the emitters from their responsibility to remove every single ton of emitted carbon. Some financial oversight might soon ask those companies why those billions of dept are not in their yearly report and (hopefully) imprison the responsible management personal.

I'm sure humans will adapt quickly, move to locations nearer to their work location, etc., but within 10 years the problem would be gone. Our current path is to destroy way more humans than are living right now as it our ignorance will hurt hundreds of generations.

Companies that dispose of physical waste have to pay for its disposal. Companies that release fossil carbon as CO don't. Why isn't CDR treated the same way — as the obligation to clean up your own waste?

In the end, AI learns from us, so if everyone with "data concerns" does not train AI, then the resulting AI will be trained only on those that don't care.
