5G and Radar Altimeters are on adjacent bands. The issue is the altimeter receiver RF filter, basically it isn't narrow enough. I don't remember the frequencies off the top of my head, but it's like transmitting on 2.4GHz and listening for replies on 2.3-2.5GHz. Aviation has been through things like this years before like when they tightened down the voice channels. But the whole world saw this coming and the FAA should have made them fix this over a multi year period (like they are now).

This sounds useful, but speakerphones have jumped in price, and I wish we could use Echo dots for our people working from home. If Canon can do this for cameras, it seems that this would be pretty easy for Amazon to do.
