Yes, Mark, with the way you ran the platform, the things you built it to do and the way you implemented it, exploitation of all kinds WAS inevitable.

If you were a literate person you'd already know why. On the other hand, you're a hero for proving that ignorance really IS an excuse i guess?

you can't, and even if you could there's an infinite number of additional clowns waiting in the wings.

You can't rescue this society, all anyone has ever been able to do is help build back up in the right direction after the idiots make it all fall apart.

Total collapse is the goal anyway, of both them and us, regardless of whether we recognize it. You want to believe you can save one part while the rest dies, i mean, go ahead but that's not how anything works

it's called capitalism and it's why we cannot trust our own legal system, because it understands absolutely nothing and is run entirely by reactionaries who put the force of law behind shit as stupid as requiring an internet connection to start a car.

They just put their heads down and do their impossible jobs, just like the rest of us, and in so doing, they break everything, and no, endless compromise with obvious evil is not a good thing, nor a "progress" thing, nor an inevitable thing. It's just an incompetence thing, and deep inside *you know that to be true*.

i mean it's brilliant, it's old-school company store-style evil.

the fact that our legal system is too cumbersome to recognize these problems or know what to do about them is also a pretty good joke. stupid fucking monkeys.

I know there's a bunch of you on here who hear "company store" and go "what the fuck is a company store" and then don't look it up - know that you're the reason it's all gone to hell. They are exploiting YOUR RELIABLE STUPIDITY.

the whole veneration of selfishness thing, the mapping and extension of scarcity models onto digital space where by definition they have no relevance and are a lie;
the replacement of basic concepts like ownership with subscription models, rather like the "company stores" of old... none of these are part of a world worth living in, they are all recipes for predictable disaster. They are all gestures of contempt for what it is to be human. THEY ARE INSULTS TO YOUR INTELLIGENCE.

really it's been a while since a good idea was the dominant force in society. We've been driving the wrong way down the road for a pretty long time now. And the bar for how bad things need to get before action is taken gets lower every day.
