Comment Co-Op (Score 1) 362

Why are there so few co-op games? Too many games focus on the competitive aspect of multi-players games too much. It seems to me that if the single player part of a game is nice, it would be easy to turn it into a great coop game but instead the developers often build a multi-player option that is completely different than the single player option.

Hydro have it's drawbacks but I am not talking about just one city but the whole province and unless I am mistaken Ontario is a big hydroelectricity producer too. I don't know anyone who lives near a power plant. The bulk of the energy is produced around James's bay and it's distributed throughout the country by high tension lines. We even sell a good amount of our electricity to the USA which is kinda far from the plant.

Zero-Day Excel Exploit In the Wild 117

snydeq writes "Microsoft Excel has a zero-day vulnerability that attackers are exploiting on the Internet, according to security vendor Symantec. The problem affects Excel 2007 both without and with Service Pack 1, according to an advisory on SecurityFocus, and other versions going back to Excel 2000. The program's vulnerability can be exploited if a user opens a maliciously crafted Excel file, allowing a hacker to leave a Trojan horse on the infected system."

It may all be true but it's not like poker works. As many pointed out, in poker you play against the other players, not the house. The house has a fixed rake which is actually pretty low in online games.

I don't consider myself a pro player and i don't intend to make a fortune playing online poker but in the last 4 months i have been playing my $50 investment turned into $200. I can't make a living with that but it sure beats playing WoW and losing $15 per month.

The trick is to never overplay your bankroll. I didn't make $150 with one lucky gamble on a $50 game. I made it by playing about 300 games. I lost some, sometimes 2 weeks in a row but in the long run good play will net you money.

Never play money that what you can't afford to lose. It's as simple as that.
