Well to satisfy Mozilla's diversity quotas? Very probable given how Woke Mozilla is. I think that Mozilla is having trouble meeting the quotas for programmers/software development, so they are compensating by hiring diverse HR, design, marketing, etc.. staff.

Well that explains everything!!!! Sorry for being so silly with my posts, I am so so so outraged but laughing at the same time. When I was first exposed to these garbage UIs (ma*erial design) and the social justice nonsense (OSS code of conducts), I first got angry. Then I no longer cared about Web Browsers and GUI software, moving on to other, better things. But now I am just laughing and in fact hoping that organizations like Mozilla will collapse and go bankrupt from this crap.

My argument was that the Mozilla UI designers were not being chosen for the merit of their work, but because of their minority status and as a result Mozilla is hiring sub-par designers.
