Comment Mozilla: Words Matter Moving Beyond "Meritocracy" (Score 1) 246

I think this would explain the problem quite succintly: https://blog.mozilla.org/caree...

So they are hiring UI/UX on diversity criteria, not merit?

Well that explains everything!!!! Sorry for being so silly with my posts, I am so so so outraged but laughing at the same time. When I was first exposed to these garbage UIs (ma*erial design) and the social justice nonsense (OSS code of conducts), I first got angry. Then I no longer cared about Web Browsers and GUI software, moving on to other, better things. But now I am just laughing and in fact hoping that organizations like Mozilla will collapse and go bankrupt from this crap.

Maybe Coraline Ada Ehmke has been trying to convince Mozilla to adopt his* Post Meritocracy Manifesto?: https://postmeritocracy.org/

Yes the same guy that got a Code of Conduct added to the Linux Kernel. Now he's trying to eliminate meritocracy in Open Source.
Probably a bit too far fetched in this case though.
