Normal people / networks get infected by botnet malware all the time. I guarantee you yours was at some point and you didn't even know it.

It's impolite to ignore robots.txt, but it's not illegal. It's up to you to block the bots if they're bothering you.

It's not just AI. If I have a conversation, and later learn that the other person repeated parts of it, I don't punch him in the nose and accuse him of stealing training data. Because I acknowledge that all conversation depends on prior conversations.

I don't think this is culture war, I think it's legitimately about protecting kids.

The comparison to Facebook and Twitter is not great because those platforms aren't for kids (but I'm all for lawsuits against them as well).

And as for 32 lawsuits being cash grabs or not enough: ok if you say so, I'm not going to worry about your kids if you're not.

32 families have lawsuits against Roblox over failing to protect children from predators. So clearly they are misrepresenting their platform if they market it as "kid-friendly" or safe (which I don't think they even do anymore). My take is that lawsuits like this to keep them honest are probably a good thing.
