Journal Journal: FLOSS as fair trade

I have long believed that the free/open-source software movement shares a lot of values with the fair-trade movement. However, examples of overlap between the two are not that common, and serious writing that looks at the similarities is even less common. In an attempt to stir up some conversation, I devoted an issue of my magazine to this [2.2MB PDF; opens in full-screen]. It's written for a non-technical audience, but I'd be curious to hear what Slashdotters think. And yes, the magazine is created and hosted using only FLOSS.
