"Underbanked" accounts for 80% or more of that statistic you mentioned. Someone decided that anyone who doesn't have enough bank accounts or who used some other form of financial tool in the past few years is "underbanked". They counted people and came up with a number and judged that those people aren't banking enough and so lumped them into a statistic.

I think this shows that we just shouldn't have social media. Cancel it all. Maybe start over, maybe try again but the current crop of enormous companies aren't good steward of the truth, our data or our privacy.

We used to call this "gains in efficiency" with increased production from less labour. It is what drove the industrial revolution and has been responsible for the high standard of living and low priced commodities we enjoy today.

The C64 has no floating point unit in hardware. All floating point math had to be done through software emulation. It's a lot of extra work.

The C64 may have "fast" bytewise integer math in comparison, but there's a lot of overhead when you try to do floating point in an integer system.
