Well, after doing the Right Thing(TM) (AKA: cyber-stalking) and slogging through his known Slashdot posts, it would seem that he rarely (but at times, does) puts the currency symbol at the end of the currency amount. He also sometimes does not use the transposed '.' and ',' but, most of the time he does, especially on amounts greater than 100k.

I did find mention of Euthanasia being legal in his country so I definitely assume you are correct, BronsCon; he's a foreigner.

I hereby concede defeat.

Or, he's a programmer who has used Basic and a lot of other languages where '$' denotes a variable of some sort.

Back in my old days of VB and QB (yeah yeah.) I got super used to putting the '$' at the end and, to this day, still do at times. As for the period vs comma? I cannot attest for that one.

As I said earlier, they posted it on their SOURCEFORGE twitter.

Again, not the best of places, but sourceforge was having the same issues. I guess they assumed people who used slashdot also followed sourceforge (not true for me) Alas, after finding the tweets there, I was able to sit back and enjoy freedom (and blue sky) without slashdot leeching my brain and begging for more.

Unfortunately, they were not tweeting on the Slashdot twitter. They were using the Sourceforge twitter. Took me a while to figure that one out, but they definitely -were- updating people...just the wrong people. (or only some of the people)

So props to updating, either way. Just would have been easier if people knew where.

This is precisely what I do as well. Garbage collection is a requirement. I do always triple read the comment before making a decision, though, to not moderate incorrectly.

I absolutely -always- upmod to comments that are just fantastic, though.

Definitely.

I laughed pretty hard when I saw the 'debunk' link pointing to snopes. I even clicked it to see what they had to say. Unfortunately, he linked to an article that had nothing to even do with what you mentioned. But then again, that's how snopes operates -- They take something then 'debunk' something completely unrelated to the original intent and call the entire thing 'false' because they sprinkled a very small part of the original intent in to the fake intent.

Millions of people fall for this. Wish I could get away with banging porn stars, doing drugs and making tons of money by lying like they do!

The snopes article saying that the plane being brought down for the PURPOSE of one person taking over a patent it false, not the patent and idea itself, which Nicknameunavailable is talking about.

Also, Snopes isn't exactly a...trusted....source site. Let alone one I would trust when it comes to thoughts / ideas that span beyond the 'box' of thinking.

Pretty difficult to do the three finger salute with one hand.
They were resorting to putting things in their mouth to get the third key.
I bought a cheap USB keyboard, took out the PCB, figured out what to short out to get CTRL-ALT-DEL,
and put it in a box with a single button.
Problem solved.

I have fairly small hands and I am able to CTRL+ALT+DEL with one hand -- My right one.

Maybe some keyboards make it difficult, but every one I use has made this possible.
