(Poll) For the weekend, I plan on:

A) Watching $FAV_TEAM beat $OPPONENT
B) Watching $WORST_TEAM lose to $OPPONENT
C) I don't watch football!
D) ??
E) Profit

For me, $FAV_TEAM = Buckeyes (opponent is Northwestern this weekend), $WORST_TEAM = Michigan. Ok the poll is a little biased. So what are you doing this weekend?

In reality, I'm going to be:
1) Patching the paint on my house and fearing the 30+ ft. heights
2) Painting the picket fence white (finally getting around to it)
3) Helping my brother in law hang 4x12 sheets of drywall on his ceiling without any decent tools (I'm gonna be sore after this)
4) Working on our open source app, "quizzard" which we are going to be presenting in Fort Wayne, IN in about two weeks.

So that's about it. Possibly playing some Halo...

    That'd be me. Sorry Dayton, but the bears are gonna be kitty litter this weekend.

    I hope not, but the bearsess are sucking this year.

    Worst team in the NFL? Nah. But close. Oh so close.

    I am weeding the flower garden out front this weekend and putting in some bricks and stuff as a border for it.

    Should be fun. Oh, and more wedding stuff.
    • That is like my foot ball experiences over the past 3 years. Ever since my Idaho Vandals started sucking compared to Boise State each game is more painfull that the previous.

      Although I was happy to piss off the BSU fans a few weekeneds ago when U of I lost, but not by near as much as BSU wanted to win by. Hehehehe

      What a way to jinx your team!! :) Seriously though, I know the feeling... fortunately, I think most of my teams this year are on the winning side. However, I think the bucks will eventually lose... hopefully not to Michigan!

    $WORST_TEAM = Wisconsin
    $OPPONENT = Illinois

    For NFL:
    $WORST_TEAM = Packers
    $OPPONENT = Bears

    I think it's going to be a sad weekend in WI. How can anyone tolerate a loss to UNLV or Ari. It's just not right. Isn't going to stop me from watching the games though.

    Other plans include writing a paper for my history class on southern culture and the impact of the blues, doing some laundry, and maybe (if the weather is crappy) I'll dust off Metroid: Prime for some FPS action.

    I am however going to spend a large chunk of this weekend lugging around sound and lighting equipment for monthly ritual of getting out the big stuff and going crazy with the folk at church.

    Nothing beats a good band, and a phat sound system people.
  • I already forgot, but I'll be watching UC (cincinnati) beat Miami (OH) and finally getting recognition by being ranked #25 in the AP or Media Poll. After that, I plan on watching Pittsburgh get revenge on the Titans, and Marvin Lewis get his first win as the Bengals beat the Browns.

    Oh, all of this is being watched at my folks house, cause its my grandmothers 88th b-day.

  • watching the 49ers beat the Vikings (Sorry FK, you know you can't win them all) - but really, I'll be putting the finishing touches on the cat/dog door at the back of our house. A run to the hardware store, a few hours of nitpicking the fitting, and then complete freedom from letting the cats and dog in and out.

    Oh, and taking care of our stupid lawn. Did I ever mention that I hate lawns? Yeah, not to look at, but to take care of. They are WAY more trouble than they are worth.

      Good idea, we're actually doing that tonight, though taking kid with us (she's only 3 1/2 months, so not a big deal). Going to go greek tonight, grab a movie afterwards... gotta have that time!!

    Watching Collingwood beat Brisbane in the AFL Grand Final. First bounce is in 11 hours and 20 minutes. Gonna be a huge day!
  • Where as last weekend involved the large scale massacre of Dasini bottles filled with water and a few drops of red food coloring...

    This weekend involves $20 worth of pumkpins I purchased at Albertsons. Lots of pumpkins. Big ones. Medium ones. And the ones that are about the size of large apples.

    Next I need to find some lead tipped (as opposed to full metal jacket) .3006 rounds so that I can split the tips of the bullet with a knife to create that exciting "poof" effect when you hit a small vegetable w
