Geoffrey Clemm is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and a member of the IBM Academy of Technology. His primary responsibilities include development of the Rational Team Concert, ClearCase, and ClearQuest products. Geoff is the primary author of RFC-3253, the IETF standard versioning protocol, and is specification lead for JSR-147, the JCP standard versioning API. Before joining Atria Software in 1995, he was chief scientist for Evolutionary Software, where he designed and implemented the Workshop System, an expert system based software engineering environment. Subsequently he was a principal engineer at Sun Microsystems and Director of the Software Tools Applied Research Group at Bellcore. Geoff received his BA in applied mathematics from Harvard and his PhD in computer science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
