I don't really understand the current Slashdot interface any more. It took me an age to find the link to add an entry in this journal! OK, now I know it's down the bottom on a tab thing. I suppose I don't actually know where it was before, since if you look at my submissions to the journal they aren't very frequent!

I submitted a story about Nokia making Symbian open source, but of course it was old news! I should have searched for it first. You live and learn, even at my age!

Just submitted about the email info published. Don't suppose it'll get in, although the story probably will. Turns out that Dag Egerstad lives here in Västerås. He's been to the home of .nu (can't remember the name of the south sea's island) and said he'd help them set up an independent network, so that they're not dependent on the man that profits from .nu.

For those of you that don't know 'nu' means now in Swedish (and some of the other nordic languages) and is very popular as a domain name. Until a few years ago it was complicated to get a .se name, and .nu was available just for money. That's changed now, and .nu has reduced in popularity.

I didn't know there were private journals. I'm not sure what I would want to use one for, but here it is, so I have to find some use for it.
