For example... If i setup a free wifi and let people connect, i can reroute the web traffic to my webserver. But no, that doesn't help me getting a valid certificate whatsoever.

If not you have to pray there is a .deb file or preferably a 3rd party repository so you get automatic updates for your specific distribution+version.

If not you will have to try to install the .deb that isn't made for your specific distribution+version and then there are almost guaranteed problems with library versions not matching or other issues and there is nothing you can do about it other than compile it from source or well install one of those "pack" formats (which got their own problems).
