Alex will also cover some of the project's goals, the development and testing methodology being such a massive undertaking (an open source project to reimplement all of Windows from scratch!), partnership with other open source projects (MinGW, Wine, Haiku, etc...).
Alex will talk both about the infrastructure side about running such a massive OS project (but without Linux's corporate resources), as well as the day-to-day development challenges of a highly distributed team and the lack of Win32 internals knowledge that makes it hard to recruit. Why not just reduce price and thus not "loose" energy? Why whenever I come to Europe, all I hear is "energy saving" by all means, when it turns out they just loose the energy instead of selling it cheaper?
There could be a special, cheap night tariff for electricity, and it would solve the problem way better than spending huge amount of money on building an artificial island.

Not that long ago a Bitcoin Exchange called ICBIT almost quietly introduced futures market, obviously using Bitcoins as a main currency. Gold futures trades roughly at 137 BTC/tr.oz and Sweet Crude Oil at 7.3 BTC/bbl.
In fact, this may play a positive role in the Bitcoin economy which needs more ways to actually "use" coins instead of mining them.
