Submission + - How do I keep my privacy while using Google? 5

hubert.lepicki writes: I use Google all the time. I keep two GMail tabs open when I browse Internet (one is private, another corporate account), I use Google search and recently I switched to Chromium browser. Google's services are fast, easy to use and usually reliable. At the same time I know Google is tracking everything I do, I can see it in search results or their ads on web pages, that tend to match my interests. After recent article posted on private blog by Mozilla's community director (http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/archives/2009/12/if_you_have_nothing.html), I started to... "google" ways of keeping my private data safe while browsing and using Google services. The results weren't very helpful (what a supprise), so I ask you — Slashdotters: how do I stay anonymous to Google while using their services?

Comment Yeah, tried this game for year and a half (Score 0) 140

Played this game in 03-04 shortly after launch, but it was very difficult, didn't make a whole lot sense game mechanic wise either. Though it was very graphically beautiful at the time. I typically just enjoyed going around all the planets and getting my own house/speeder. That was about it. Half way through a one year subscription (New years 05), I got WoW. Came back briefly for JTL, never been back since.

Assuming his cabinet and VP aren't in on it. The simplest way to remove him would be for his cabinet to vote to remove him from office. Would take about 2 mins and make Dick Cheny VP. If cheney was in on it, then you have Pelosi call the house into session right there, have someone scribble an article of impeachment onto the back of their program, vote for it. Then Harry Reid calls the Senate into session right there, convenes his trial, Roberts calls the vote, senators vote to impeach. Done.

Comment Broken 640 GB's (Score 0) 452

They finally fixed the broken 640 GB drives which had the stall out/disappear/NCQ errors the 1.5TB's had about a month ago. Thank god. I have not seen such widespread failures across so many products since the Deskstar fiasco.
