I'm so glad they solved AGI so that we can stop doing those pesky annoying things like making art and music and get back to what really matters, working in the mines digging more coal out of the ground to support the AI datacenters.
Hope they fuck right off and go bankrupt.
Because that's what it sounds like he's saying.
Kind of new it was inevitable, but this sort of pivot never works.
And we will keep shooting ourselves in the foot until the situation improves.
I would never use such a low resolution image.
WebPee can finally go back into the yellow googlehole it crawled out of.
The only way to comply is to bind your identity to every single thing you do on the internet. Every single thing you do, every comment you made about a politician can and will be traced back to your real identity. And then the roundups will begin. Those that do not toe the party line will be sent to the meat grinders.
I hate AI as much as the next person that has been in IT for 30 years, but they're adding a reasonable feature to task manager based on what hardware is currently being thrown at computers.
However, this being The New Microsoft I'm surprised it's not a subscription.
I've seen amazing deployments of rural fiber in places with a population density below 1 person per square mile. Meanwhile, back where I live where the population density is approximately "I can see 78 street lights from my front porch" can barely get DSL and you can tell where I live by looking for the odd gap in starlink coverage.
Well, I do hope to be moving to that spot out in the woods with fiber soon, so yay.
Millions of photos of children? Why would they want that?
The whole point of making the floor 1Gbps was to force upgrades, growing the economy by creating jobs for new deployments, and I guess consumers get tolerable speeds, too. If anything they should have made the floor even higher.
I think it's sad that once again we have a company that is providing a direct benefit to the world and they're worth only $30b when you have shitty AI companies that make the world a worse place that are worth many times that.
Or maybe that's just the ram needed to play the game.
