.. that is that a LARGE part of the shareware, as well as, the commercial software, which is "pirated" is done so by highschool and college students. I hang otu with a group of about 6 friends. All of which are interested in careers in computers (we are seniors). Some are into Networkign and Security Some programming, and of course come graphcis. But none of us pay for our copy of Office XP pro, Win XP pro, or any other software we use. Now i am getting to my point, which is this.. If the software wasnt pirated it woudltn be bought. High scholl students CANNOT afford to pay for this software. No way, no how.
SO hwo do u consider it a lost sale?
i most certainly dont see it as a lost sale, i mean for gods sakes, do u really think i would use on a DAILY BASIS photoshop, 3dstudio max 4.2, office XP, AutoCad, and other software, if i ahd to pay for it? hehe, my parents combined make 50k a year, we can abrely afford a damn hosue payment, much less software. So maybe people (comemrical and Shareware software) should remove certain groups form their projected 'lost sales'
