I don't have a Tesla, but I do have solar panels and an EV. I'm financially incentivized by net metering and my power company's rate plans to pump my extra power to the utility during the day and charge the car in the middle of the night. Charging during the day would be a "waste."

I think people are underestimating how many they use, or not counting everything they use that fits with the spirit of the poll. SMS, Steam, Skype, and Slack, I'm already at four and I consider myself on the low end of the count compared to people that use social media or mobile apps that I avoid. I also don't use IRC as I suspect many here would. I'm really surprised that 5+ isn't the highest result.

Please, we need to put an end to this tired sentiment. Browse around on brothers-brick.com or other Lego sites and tell me again about how all the fancy-new pieces, action figures, and licensed content is some kind of impediment to using Lego for whatever-the-heck kids/people dream up. It's really not.

I used to think this. I changed my mind when I starting thinking about all the tech we've developed as a result of our desire to fix those problems. I think our desire to help those who can't help themselves is ultimately a good evolutionary direction even though it can seem like a waste of resources in some cases.

I don't buy the "everyone is special" thing either - but there has to be somewhere in-between instead of either extreme. That's what makes it a challenge.

I hear they work great for farming, why not in schools too? /sarcasm
