Dear fragile USC grad: We know you all have a chip on your shoulder and are cultist USC aluminati, but please put your fragile ego aside and realize it is a compliment to say USC is as well known as the other two schools and is no comment on its academics. I mean OJ Simpson went there, and he turned out fine. Just fine.

This does not resolve anything. We know grades are a gradation. That is not automatically a ranking. Gradation is different grades of competence with respect to the material. If everyone has the same competence, they are in the same gradation and get the same grade. Ranking is where someone is with respect to others. I.e. how well they do with respect to others, not with the material. So a rank is standing with respect to others whereas a grade is simply a level of competence with respect to the material.
