I did read it and whilst there some interesting points of view, some even important, the book largely drones on about the same subjects: nerds should not just work for advertising companies like Google, Meta et al but use their intellect to protect the western civilisation. Where it goes wrong imo is that there is then a chapter about why western civ is superior. Which it is, by western standards, which is an important point missed.

You make a good if obvious point. Of all the peaceful and thinly populated places on earth - why a war zone where energy production get hammered regularly?

Itâ(TM)s sobering how the nuclear power plants keep going in these conditions: everyone has got skin in the game. Oppressed and oppressors alike.

There is this idea, in their head mostly, that because an entrepreneur has been hugely successful once, they will be again. Sometimes that is true due to an abundance of means, sometimes it is true due to talent or lessons learned. But often it is not true as a combination of things including talent, perseverance and luck concurred to make the success happen - not the outstanding qualities of the entrepreneur.

I recommend digital minimalism where you decide what you want achieve and then decide which apps go with that.

Itâ(TM)s simple you donâ(TM)t need to buy any new phone, just take control of what you have.

I found removing all notifications except for phone call go a long way, removing all social media apps and use a website instead of an app when possible.

Check your mail or messages a few times a day and use fantastic advances like gps navigation or the amazing cameras when needed.

Yes, there are shades of grey, itâ(TM)s does not need to be black or white. Whatever works for you however - or creates a clickety bitey headline.
