Good call. I made this jump this year and am never looking back.

A button-less design allows the whole product line to use one infotainment unit. Year on year improvements are software only. Features can vary by model without needing different hardware. I think this is all a manufacturing cost thing.
I have never heard someone ask for a touch screen replacement for physical buttons. They don't work with all gloves. They don't work well when dirty. They require much more time with your eyes off the road. There is no customer benefit to this, only manufacturing cost.
I hear you and like the sentiment but broadcast tv is about to be encrypted across the board. You'll still need to pay.
The expenses of running a restaurant force many to buy materials from the big suppliers (Sysco/Performance Food/etc.)
Once a place stops being unique, it stops being an option for me.
I have dozens of local choices for pizza, all serving the same dough/sauce combo.
It is the same pizza with a different chair and table. No wonder folks lose interest.
There are great pizza places still around, you just have to look a little closer.
There is data necessary to do your business and there is data gathered and kept that isn't.
Not sure when companies are going to learn to resist gathering and keeping more than they absolutely need.
If you gather it, you have to protect it and that just doesn't seem possible.
Fines are not a deterrent and legal accountability is unlikely. Not sure the fix here.
They are worked up because it covers the screen that provides car controls and navigation.
If Cox didn't monitor what their customers are doing, they wouldn't know and couldn't be held responsible.
Mental health is incredibly important to employees... unless it takes more than lip service to address.
Management dictates the factors that impact the culture. Saying it is important is great. Doing something about it is better.
Don't bother if your idea of help is an AI chatbot to help cope with your stress.
No longer mandated means cable companies now simply refuse to support them. The cable card in my TiVo is running well but on borrowed time.
FIOS' next "upgrade" will kill it for sure. Good thing there isn't any effort in making good content for non-streaming anymore.
I gotta admit, M$ is making it more attractive every day to make the jump.
Linux does have some work to do before the mainstream will be able but it is getting better and better.
I really don't like feeling I am the product and don't like spending money on a PC that M$ acts like they own.
If I pause a movie it is to read a subtitle or see a background detail. Having an ad at that point is just an unacceptable degradation of the experience.
Having it be generated AI content means it will be worse uncanny garbage and cheapens it even more.
Voting with my wallet.
The iPhone never worked as well or sounded as good as the iPod. No one will convince me otherwise.
I love the iPhone but it kinda stinks as a music player and it isn't a great phone.
Look at teacher salaries. We are getting what we pay for.
Are you suggesting that if we pay the same teachers more they'll do a better job? I.e. they're slacking off and doing a deliberately poor job as a protest against poor pay?
Or are you suggesting that if schools had higher teacher salary budgets they could fire the current losers and hire better people away from other industries?
In either case we'd have to take into account the teacher's union before just cranking up the tax rates and shooting more money at the schools.
I was thinking more the second option.
Look at teacher salaries. We are getting what we pay for.
exactly!! Will go check out jellyfin.
