Journal Journal: Podzinger indexes video
The podzinger web site recently released indexing for video. You can now find video content as easily as google allows looking up websites. You can also play the only the snippet you want to hear via your web browser. The technology behind this is a speech to text conversion software originally designed for the US government to keep tabs on "people of interest".
The uses of this stuff is easy to imagine. Thousands of hours of historical and all other video/audio content can actually be used by researchers for acedemia in addition to the entertainment factor. Imagine having all your college lectures online so you can search them, read them, etc.. They now have 100,000 audio and video entries that can be searched.
