Journal Journal: Tech saavy people... 1
Ok, just have to vent, and I figure this is a good opportunity to make my first journal entry.
It's extremely frustrating when you know someone is technically saavy, and they know you're technically saavy, yet they assume you don't know what you want. Case in point, I'm trying to upgrade a cable modem, and I work for a cable ISP. I'm working with a large modem provider, and telling them: I can't upgrade your firmware. In the past, I've needed the manufacturer CVC to enable this feature. Could you send me your CVC?
Instead of sending me what I ask for, the guy has wasted about four days of my time since he apparently only responds to email twice a day. When he does *finally* give it to me, I'm going to ask him why he didn't in the first place. Maybe he can explain how someone that is definitely tech saavy can let common sense fly right out the window...
