damn_registrars's Journal: Trump's idiots can't even deploy Bastris correctly?

I was a little stunned when I learned of a new "arcade-dot-gov" domain that is pushing the MAGA line through bad video games. I was even more astonished when I saw just how awful they were.

I read someone suggest that the owners of the copyright for Tetris should sue. I disagree. I think the publishers of Bastris should go after them instead. Tetris at least clears lines and tells you the next block coming. Bastris clears lines and gives you the least useful next block possible, without warning. While this enshittified version doesn't clear lines, it is much closer to Bastris in the fact that it doesn't give you indication of the next block, and almost never gives you the one that would be most useful.

That, and what they've created is arguably false advertising anyways. If the goal is to make a wall on the Mexican border to keep out "the horde" then why incentivize building a tight wall over just building a quick and tall one? Why does it count as "breached" once it gets to the top? The stated goal is not only counter to regular Tetris, it is counter to how the game actually works.

Really, Big Rigs Over the Road Racing is a better game than this piece of partisan garbage.

You're not wrong that the democrats are run by a bunch of cowards. They propose a plan, and reliably fold on it as soon as the MAGA party comes up with a (not at all) clever insult that invariably tears the plan down to a single word bite. The democrats do have ideas, they just have no spine to actually push them through.

It's easy to reach that conclusion if you have never been active in a party. The democratic party does have a good local ground game that is run by volunteers who actually have beliefs and principles. The problem is that at the end of the day the candidate who wins in the one who can pull in the most money, and that's true no matter what. Where do you see a situation where an independent candidate can pull in enough money to win an election? The message is important, but getting the message out is what
