The first time I went to Beijing (about 20 years ago) you could hold your hand in front of your face and literally see the air between your face and your hand. But they did start to improve it, probably for the Olympics. Lots of trees got planted, and they started fining people for spitting in public (not related to air pollution, but it did help clean up the city).

Like LA, Beijing has some geographic issues that make the pollution worse. The issues in India are often similar, varying from place to place. In India, the poverty is dramatically more omnipresent than in Beijing or Shanghai. And the infrastructure is often ridiculously bad (due to corruption). A lot of people still cook over fire.

RAM is only built by 3 companies, and they have a long history of colluding on prices. The market is artificially constrained, and as a result we will soon have 5 companies making RAM, because this has opened the door to two huge Chinese manufacturers (two companies known by 3 or 4 letter acronyms with Xs and Ys like CXMY or something similar), who are currently investing more in RAM production than the rest of the world combined.

This is an interesting topic, and one with precedent. It turns out that the United States was accused for many years of stealing inventions from the UK and other European countries (IIRC: starting with the industrial revolution and its relationship to fabric production), and as its economic dominance emerged, its IP protectionism grew with it. It has long been predicted that China would take a similar path, and while it does mean (with extra thanks to trump) that the sun is rapidly setting on the US empire, we shouldn't freak out about this. The correct course of action (as exhibited by China) is to invest heavily in education, modernization, infrastructure, and strategic subsidies. Unfortunately, the US is currently investing in corruption, culture wars, and nihilism instead, but we must assume that these errors are correctable and worth correcting.

Once again showing super leftists don't do math or science.

What does this have to do with left vs right? Liberal vs conservative? Straight vs gay? Trans vs ... I dunno, whatever not trans is.

The climate does not give a fuck about your politics, or your party affiliation, or your gender, or your pronouns, or whatever.

Neither does science. Or math.

If you think that making the world a less healthful and less livable place is a great idea, then there's simply something wrong with you. That's not being "conservative"; that's just being an ignorant cultist.

The EPA was created by conservatives. Our national park system was created by conservatives. Conservatives conserve.

You're not a conservative. And despite your chosen name here, your post is one of the most ignorant and idiotic that I've encountered today, which is really saying something.

That's the result of 2% of American voters being allowed to block the other 98%, by having the Senate effectively controlled (42 seats) by only 2% of the American people's vote.

Worse, fewer than 4% of American voters account for an actual solid majority in the Senate. The US constitution, in order to protect slavery, allows 4% of the country to rule over the rest of us.
