Since Twitch is mainly about streaming gameplay, is this just a pretext to train generative AI on content from games that the streamers can't give permission to train on in the first place?

Dude!! Think about what happened in February - that has to be the most inconsequential and incomplete state of the union speech I can possibly imagine. Within days he attacks Iran and just destroys everything of substance a real state of the union would've covered. All the low fuel prices, great economy, poof. Gone. I'm not very old, but I can't remember a bigger waste of time SotU speech than this one in 2026.
Anyways back on topic I agree w/ sibling AC, nothing Trump/MAGA idiots can say has merit as long as right wing AM talk radio is the most biased ridiculous thing to possibly exist soaking up the "public" air waves. And further, the main stream media IS NOT something of or from the left at all. It's maybe centrist and maybe right wing/corporate. But it's not left.
I realized I wasn't a Republican when I'd listen to right wing talk radio and just get fuming mad at the utter stupidity I'd hear during the Bush and early Obama years. I moved on and listened to NPR. They're dumb too and say stupid things, but I would get less angry at the radio. And there were less advertisements. I'm still not a Democrat yet, but man, Trump is sure pushing me closer. Where's the fiscal conservatives at? Where's the I-hate-Hunter-Biden anti corruption Republicans at? It's dire.

When, or perhaps if, AI "falters" do you think Republicans will have an ounce of self reflection after all the screaming they've just "performed" about Socialism and Communism? Trump has already taken public ownership of companies and would surely use it as an excuse to take more when he bails them out. I'm sure he'll frame it as the only rational thing to do and a good deal. We should all hope and pray it crumbles in 2028 before the election so it'll feel like 2008 again.

Maybe it's just me but when I think of Samsung I don't think of a brand that has an eco-system, I just think of a generic company that usually makes decent quality hardware. I don't want to use their app store, or their attempt at a personal AI assistant, or their password manager. I don't expect innovation, I don't care about their flagship products, I'm just content with using their hardware with no interaction with the company whatsoever.

I managed to get Facebook to behave almost the way I want it to using the Social Fixer extension.
Chronological order, no ads, only posts from people and pages I'm actually following, no autoplay, no stories. But as a side effect it seems to reload the page multiple times and sometimes stalls for a while, so it ends up too much of a hassle to check it more than a couple times a day anyway.

I actually built a basic versioning system using Photoshop scripting for our animation studio's 2D department like a decade ago because we had a lot of 2D artists for a new project after a couple of years of me being the only 2D artist in the studio.
We already had pretty beefy and fast storage servers because the render farm needed to have access to all the 3D data anyway.
So I basically wrote a UI panel in Photoshop that allowed you to navigate to a specific asset in the show's hierarchy and commit a version with data like timestamp, username, comments, thumbnail, etc, and send an update to the producer.
On later projects we didn't really need to deal with much 2D production because it came from the clients, but the 3D pipeline was pretty complex, with automatic scene assembly, switching assets, rendering, syncing between physical locations, updating project management services, etc.

Personally, these days I use Prism Pipeline to keep my personal 3D projects organized. I never really used it for 2D but it does support Photoshop and some texturing software.

I don't think lack of originality is the main issue. The earlier phases of the MCU were pretty well received and most of them weren't particularly innovative in plot structure.
More recent iterations are making less money so following the established formula isn't helping with the general audience.

Help you remember countless things, like, what food they can and cannot eat. How much you should feed them. They get you out for walks, see nature, keep your vitamin D dosage up. They help you socialize with other people that have dogs and give you something to talk about instead of awkwardly avoiding politics and just talking about the weather. For bonus points you can get a proper hunting dog and really have fun.

If I remember correctly, Blizzard games like Starcraft originally did the actual multiplayer game state synchronization as direct communication between the players, Battle.Net just did the matchmaking and chat which is pretty low bandwidth.
Maybe they can rewrite their netcode to be more like that.

Rant: we should just have some basic withholding percentage, tariffs, and then a similar basic flat percentage from all corporate revenue. No funny deductions, no net profit games, just revenue almost like a federal sales tax. IMHO if these were some reasonable level it'd be fine, we could then fund the rest on deficit spending (like we're so prone to do anyways.)

I put one camera up(not ring and locked down) because my 80 year old neighbor was snooping. I got video of her walking onto our porch staring through the windows and trying the door she then step off the porch without a step and walked away. She can barely walk if she took that big step down onto soft garden dirt and fell her head would have bounced off brick walkway.

  I have since put up two more cameras to cover the doors of my home as I also had footage of her walking around our backyard when we were not home.

Going into your neighbors property especially without fences is okay if you are retrieving something, walking to a specific point etc. if a fence goes up thatâ(TM)s different.
