OK, so my worst nightmare has just happened, I looked back at a positive mod I made and it was changed to [offtopic -1]. Same prob as before, but there is a way out...

I post in the same discussion stating that it is to cancel an unjust mod, but the idiot that I am I post as myself rather than anonymously, the post right gets modded as OT and suddenly my entire /. rep is frittered away. D'oh

OK So I get the mod points, that means that to be fair to everyone else I have to change my comment browsing settings to see everything at -1. I do this. I then end up reading more dross than I ever thought existed on this site...

So I spot a few comments that should be modded higher and do so, this must be good, since I keep getting moderator access.

This all worked fine, but I'm having trouble with my mouse and go to buy a decent optical thing with a wheel cos I got used to one while at work. Due to 'issues' with my mainboard I can't use the USB interface so I go with the PS/2 connector. Again everything is OK

Here's the catch: I just modded somebody up, +1 informative or something like that. When I go back to look at what I've done I apparently gave them a +1 funny. At least I didn't brand them as first post..
