capsteve's Journal: google underseas cable map

i've been looking for a google kmz that would show the worlds submarie network/fiber optic runs. there's an industry map for $250 that shows all the runs with additional metadata, but i think there's gotta be a kmz somewhere with the same information...

Are you planning your next attack on the internet infrastructure ( a more physical one ) ?

First though that came to my mind especially since the map you pointed to doesn't seem to reveal the exact location of the pipes, sorry ;-)

attack? don't be silly. don't even kid about it. not cool.

the map i pointed out was an example of the different paths available(or not available). they show general landing points, and for the purpose that i'm interested in, specific locations aren't important. i'm not interested in knowing where the specific geographical locations of the infrastructure is located, and i'm sure the only ones who really know are the owners of the network, and the governments that allow the network to reach land.
