BBC has this story "http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3090918.stm" about linux being promoted and encouraged in the Japan, China and Korea , by their respective Governments.
I guess it will be a great push for the linux community. Linux being low on userbase has slow speed in stable applications for end users.
I am strictly mentioning Desktop end users , who still feel a bit shy to linux due to lack of standard applications availability .
