Toyota Camry, RAV4, Highlander - you get the choice of Hybrid (as default) or a turbo charged engine that'll blow up sooner. The rest are catching up with Toyota on hybrids. I'm on my second Hybrid, a Ford Maverick this time. Love it and love the mileage and no turbo.

Why didn't I go electric, well my last car I ended up selling to one of my kids cheap as they needed a car quick. Having that experience, my kids are in apartments, I figured I might be doing the same in a few years for another child, that kept me away from an EV this time.

In the U.S. - Infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure is badly needed for people not in houses and not infrastructure that is 35c per kilowatt more than household pricing.

If you've bought an ICE or electric vehicle from any major manufacturer made in the U.S. in the last 7 years, you'll discover it has a kill switch already.

Every firm I've worked at has Excel on the issued machine and yes we use it constantly. Nope, I'm not an accountant. Just my opinion, but it is still the best of class when it comes to spreadsheet applications and probably why O365 is doing so well.

This explains why so many articles on a celebrity or general subject contain so much slop instead of getting to the point. I generally pick up the pattern after the first paragraph and ditch the article.

Employers are looking to reduce staff due to reduced economic activity in the U.S. Further, the anticipation that AI will displace a lot of employee positions based on the hype. So they are cutting positions now, but would rather not pay severance. So, make life less pleasant for the employee.
- C-Suite is enjoying large bonuses as the stock market hits new highs. They are getting credit for the work, even if it is a bubble.
- Fewer junior positions needed so less opportunity for the younger out of college.
- Some employees did abuse work from home, so now we all get called in (thanks).
- With new butt in the seat rules, flexibility from the immediate manager is hampered, as the new in office requirements are often very rigid. So, long hours over a weekend do not translate to flexible time off.

Next recognize that people are different and shouldn't be expected to be the same.

I suspect the fee will push more firms to off-shore more. Probably to Canada, India, Ireland, or anywhere else that isn't considered an enemy of the state.

I was pushed into the market ahead of schedule. I was really interested in the Equinox EV bottom model. Hard to buy, as they are selling as fast as GM can supply them. Ioniq 5 and many of the other models - easily $10K US more than that one. Yeah, some used on market, but even getting a test drive can be difficult.

I test drove the lower model Ioniq 5, it really was the favorite of my test driven vehicles, but again, even with tax credit, it was 10K more.

I ended up getting a hybrid.

I'm curious if a bit of the movement comes from more support from Steam?
