Journal btlzu2's Journal: Am I nuts or??? 23

Is this woman not one of the cutest/prettiest stars ever? I know this is a bit old news, but I just rewatched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon recently and was just enthralled with this stunner.

Furthermore, she sounds pretty sharp to me with her quote in her IMDB profile:

"In China, we don't consider someone truly beautiful until we have known them for a long time, and we know what's underneath the skin."

Yeah, I have a bit of a harmless crush on her, and yes fdb knows and picks on me ruthlessly for it. :)

Oh and hello everyone!

Am I nuts or???

Comments Filter:
  • but not because you think she's cute. She is.
  • you are nuts. Not to be confused with your nuts.
  • My two choices are:

    A) Smoochy Bear is nuts
    B) She is not one of the cutest/prettiest stars ever.

    Okay.
  • But she is a lovely lady.
  • But then again I have a weakness for asian women. Umm, no one tell my fiance that....
  • and cute.

Subject line is a tip 'o the hat to smitty
  • She's very attractive. But are you serious about your judgement of her intelligence? Some tart spits out a cookie-cutter line from a Hallmark card about inner beauty and you're smitten? You should know that her agent planted that little line in her pretty little head to attract the basement dwellers.

I am not saying she isn't intelligent but I am saying that you don't have the information needed to really judge that.

    • Cheeeell Winstahn!

It's a good view to have. If it'll satisfy you, I'll send her an IQ test.... Sheesh!
      • I think you should reconsider trying to determine characteristics of famous people whose only interaction with you is one-way and delivered by a corporation.

I find your reaction to my point quite perplexing.

        • My reaction was that you're taking a harmless statement so seriously. I wasn't stating that she is brilliant, my only point was that I agreed with that statement.

          In other words, LIGHTEN UP!
          • You didn't say you agreed with her - you said she was sharp. It wasn't a harmless statement. You bought into the cult of personality and believed that you knew something about this person's intellectual ability based solely on a single quote that she probably didn't even originally have.

Furthermore, even if you want to shift what you said, it's a pretty shallow statement to agree with, don't you think? I mean, it's not exactly a profound thought or anything. Why is it even worth mentioning?

            Guess what - Som

            • Looks like *some*one needs to cut down on his caffeine intake, wouldn't you say, Beetleshizzle?

That and/or (I'd be generous & say "AND") a good, thorough, mind-blowing hummer.

Seriously, AD -- it was a throw-away remark. Cult of personality or no, let's try not to take ourselves SO seriously ALL the time, OK?

              ....Bethanie....
              • :) Thanks Bethanie. I'd just given up actually, but I appreciate the sanity check.
              • One doesn't normally defend throwaway remarks.

                Take care!

                • In the course of "witty" banter of the sort here on Smashdork they do. In case you hadn't noticed.

No hard feelings, OK, sweetie? You just seemed to be getting a little wrapped around the axel there.

And really, would you really *mind* a really fantastic blow job? What a great excuse! Walk up to the nearest prospective female and say, "Hey, some chick online told me a I really needed a hummer -- would you mind?" Who in her right mind could refuse? ;-)

                  ....Bethanie....
                  • " In the course of "witty" banter of the sort here on Smashdork they do. In case you hadn't noticed."
Why do you think I keep posting? :P

                    "No hard feelings, OK, sweetie?"
None at all. As for getting my much deserved bj, I don't understand why I'd have to say more than "hey" before the target was bobbing; but that's just my perception of how cool I am.
  • ...about beauty, then???

    *kicks you*

That was for Wicked, who wants you to declare tomorrow to be International fdb day, and says you have a very cheerful, relaxed-sounding telephone voice.

Mr. Henries declined to comment on that, but says that the woman you indicate is to be respected as a VERY accomplished actress, and that his knowledge of her beauty ends there.

He's not allowed to type the comment himself, though, because he gets drool on the keyboard.
    • I agree with her!!! Sheesh... POINTS POINTS!!! Remember? :)

It doesn't mean that she isn't physically attractive Wicked. Thanks for the compliment on my telephone voice though. You're confusing as always.... ;)

And, fdb knows I think she's the most beautiful woman in the world...I tell her all the time. :) So, every day is International fdb day!

Heh, reminds me of when I was a kid and I'd ask my mom after Mother's day, "When is Kid's day?". She'd always reply, "Every day is kid's day...."

      :)
  • although in crouching tiger... she still looked a little young to me. i think she's getting more attractive as she gets older.

i saw her first, but it doesn't matter because my wife isn't into sharing. but she's aware of my distraction and tolerates it. just as i tolerate her fascination with johnny depp.

Anything free is worth what you pay for it.

Working...
