They are getting tired of yo-yo gas pricing games. We got an Ioniq 5 over 3 years ago and it's been great. With 113k miles that's $20k of gas not boughten, maybe 375 times I didn't have to stop for gas, about 17 oil changes it hasn't needed.
No it does not seem promising anymore that was 20-30 year ago. Hydrogen is dead for personal transportation, not just automakers big oil companies have killed their hydrogen projects. These existing cars may not even be able to find fuel anymore. I thought toyota owners sue toyota because they are left with undrivable cars with zero resale value since stations are closing or just out of service all the time leaving them with unusable cars. A small toyota or Hyundai costs over $200 to fill up (if you are lucky enough to find one working station), so a hydrogen truck or SUV would be $400-500 per tank ? Who's going to want to that when just putting in gas is 4 times cheaper or you can charge an EV at home for a few dollars.
There is zero infrastructure, besides a few fulling stations in parts of California so these cars can't be sold anywhere else. And the sales numbers are terrible, spend billions to sell 200 cars a year. And why would anyone even want one ? You can't take it on trips, costs 4 times more than filling up with gas or 20 times more then charging an EV at home.
for a very high price during periods of extreme cold or heat. What's wholesale power usually go for 3 or 4 cents / kwh ? (we pay around 8 cents total power and delivery near Tacoma WA) . They could wait until near blackout conditions and say sure pay us $1 kwh and we will save your town.
I saw a guy who had 3 or more fail and luckily bought it from costco so he kept returning it and getting a new one. Others said they had similar expectances and many returned them and bought a different brand. But they will keep working and may be even more reliable without their bad app. I have a cheap no name charger I got on amazon and it's been working great for nearly 2 years, it has an app but I rarely use it.
Why do all these companies keep forcing AI in our face ? I don't want AI on my desktop or built in the OS, on every facebook ad, on my phone, in my car, in my browser. Has anyone really said...... Meta, Can you please add AI to nearly every post and ad with autofilled stupid questions about the post that I can ask your AI ? How do Meme's work, who invented Meme's, why are Meme's so popular, are cats good pets, why are cat Meme's funny......
I drove a Escape that said something like... location and data sharing is active you and any passengers will be agreeing to it..... But it wasn't so hidden and popped up when the car was turned on.
In the past 2 weeks we have been getting a lot more amazon delivery's from USPS and it happens every year after black Friday. I've been at the post office when amazon comes by and they literally dump several large totes on the counter and walk away.
just seems like the marvel movies kind of came to an end after endgame. Sure we will watch it when it gets to Disney + and with the poor box office that probably means it will come out even sooner then if it was a hit.
We put 2 mini splits in our house and they go a great job, today it was 96F and the house stayed 74. Much better then the old window ACs we use to use plus they are very quiet and it's best to just leave them running 24/7, so it's always cool (or warm) when you get home. We also have an EV now and our power bill (and power use) is less than it use to be. Going to EV's won't take down the grid as some people say since you can do upgrades to offset the power use.
It's the internet... Sure I've downloaded thousands of movies...Says a 11 year old who has never used a torrent or filesharing. Then I have downloaded movies I already own, takes 12 minutes to download a file vs an hour+ to find the dvd, rip it and encode it.
