Journal blinder's Journal: A Nice Time 23

First off. i want to offer my heart felt sincere thanks for everyone who posted such wonderfully kind and supportive words in my last journal... and those who understand my aversion to crudeness. i still like you all... but yeah... you understand.

So yeah. it was a wonderful time. we drove to a wonderful restaurant where i had made reservations. we were seated and the conversation just came so naturally. nothing was forced. we laughed, we talked about real things and just generally enjoyed each other's company the entire evening.

i convinced her to try a glass of wine. she asked me repeatedly if that was okay (she is fully in tune with my beliefs and is very quick to accomodate them to make me feel comfortable). i wanted her to enjoy the evening and she appreciates a fine wine, so i don't have a problem with that.

we both had really elegant and wonderful meals followed by coffee (for her) and chai (perhaps the best i had ever had) for me (she tried a little and was completely blown away by how wonderful a good chai can be.

after dinner we drove back and i dropped her home.

in conclusion, it was an amazingly wonderful time. i was not nervous for a moment. i was calm and relaxed. i laughed a lot. i couldn't stop smiling actually that i noticed my face sore the next day.

we talked and she told me she had a wonderful time as well, so i suppose this will go down in the books as a good time for the both of us.

i'm glad i did this. so this is what it feels like to be close to normal eh? or at least what i think of as my approach to normal. i'm good with this.

  • I'm glad you had a good time, and that she had a good time as well.

Will there be a second date? :-)

  • So, like venture capitalism, the whole point of the first date (meeting) is to get a second meeting (date). So, yeah.....like Tuxette said..... is there a second date?

    • and like i told Tuxette, a second date isn't out of the question :)

      thanks man :)

why does taco think i'm a cowboy? i mean the fucker has foe'd me or some shit. so... yeah
  • But you've been misunderinformed, son... 'normal' is just a setting on washing machines. It is to be found nowhere else in nature.
    • Yeah, "normal" doesn't exist. And blinder, not being "normal" is a good thing. Most people are stupid lazy cows with no imagination. Just keep being blinder, (because he's teh awesomez) but integrate having fun and being comfortable with girls into that persona. Glad you had fun, you deserve it.

  • So you have plans for a second date yet? It sounds like a monumental step in a great direction for you. Nothing like a good time to show you that people do appreciate your company.

  • glad you had fun. Life is about enjoying shit on your quest to avoid a messy death. Regardless of what the future holds, you can always turn back to this as a temporal unit of having a good time.

P.S.- the movie "Waking Life" fucking sucks. Don't see it.
    • So your "Friday Night (take 2)" JE is that you have a date for next friday night!

Either that, or you are living that movie "Groundhog day" where you will repeat Friday night over and over and over until you get it right... gotcha!

I gotta tell you, thats a pretty good movie to be reliving if thats the case. Much fucking better than "Waking Life", which should be called "Wasting Life" cuz thats what you'd be doing. /Super-extra-double bonus points to me for tying the parent-post comment about "Waking life"

What if you're like me and life is about questing to make sure I have a messy death. I want one so bad that when they find the remains, they're not even sure if it was once living, more or less human. We're talking drowing in a vat of acid sitting on a R/R crossing with a 100mph frully loaded freight train with 200 pounds of dynamite strapped to the cow-killer on an impact trigger barrelling down on you messy.

Oh, and to keep this on topic
  • Sounds like 2005 is starting out as a much better year. May things continue as well as they've begun.
  • 1) You didn't kill her.
    2) You didn't violate her mother.

It's OK. Maybe nex time. I'm pulling for you buddy ;)

*hey. sounds nice. but seriously post nekkid pix of her while she's all ruffied out OK?
  • i've been off the dot. missed this until now. didn't want to let it pass without stopping to say i'm happy for you.
  • It's nice when you finally get to see what a healthy relationship can be. Just don't rush things.

    ^_^

  • Proud of you my friend. You are a man that deserves to enjoy, and be enjoyed as well.

"Can you program?" "Well, I'm literate, if that's what you mean!"
