Journal blinder's Journal: I Likes To Kick It 9
started out the day today heading down to GOVERNMENT CENTER to the KINKOS in that i had to print, sign and fax some paper work, and well, since i have a start date of the 22nd of this month, i've got some time to kill here and there, and today was full of time that needed some killing.
i got what i had to get done by 10:30 a.m. (EDT) and decided to wander around a bit. i ended up strolling through THE COMMONS, nice day for it really. walked around THE POND and down around to the other side of the park, ending up around STATE STREET. i just strolled through, looking around... walking past WINTER STREET over to WASHINGTON STREET to the ORANGE LINE. i decided to head on over to HARVARD SQUARE (via DOWNTOWN CROSSING) and look at some CDs. so i did.
i went over to NEWBURRY COMICS in THE GARAGE (i don't know why i bother NC has gotten so bloody boring) and picked up INSTED "Live At CBGB," INTEGRITY "Scratch The Surface," and HATEBREED "Under The Knife."
i stopped off at UNOs in HARVARD SQUARE and had a salad for lunch. it was then off to the T STATION again and back over to DOWNTOWN CROSSING to pick up the OUTBOUND ORANGE LINE.
i then had a couple hours of down time... then it was off again, down to BACK BAY to meet the dragon to escort her home.
i'm really starting to learn my way around this place. now if i could just figure out how to *drive* to CENTRAL SQUARE without going through HARVARD SQUARE, i'd be all set! see, you don't want to go that route, on MASS. AVE. its stupid, and longer than it needs to be. there is a way... but i just can never figure it out.
so... i've had a full day of exploring. i like exploring a new place. i like it so much better than baltimore in that you can actually see more and do more without having to drive 35 minutes to everywhere. in baltimore, everything is so spread out that it can take a better part of a day just to go to maybe a few different places (try going from the DISTRICT to, i dunno, FELLS POINT... what a drag that is)... but here, you can go from DOWNTOWN to CAMBRIDGE on the T in 20 minutes. easy peazy.
well, yeah... time to think about dinner now. starving.
hey... what's for dinner anyway?
