so yeah, like i said i went and got my hair cut at this tres fancy place this past saturday. not only did i get my hair cut, i also got some highlights done. yeah... not quite as radical as i've had in the past (yes, i've had just about every color of the rainbow at one time or another) but still... rust/red highlights are pretty cool.

this place i went to... wow, yeah pretty fancy. BD told me about it, and she just raves over it... she was kind enough to make me an appointment... first thing they did was do the tin foil deal... i was asking for a conspiracy theory they needed explaining... i figure since i had the tin foil hat going... i might as well put it to good use.

it took just over an hour from start to finish, yeah i was a bit uneasy. i am not used to being fussed over, and BD could tell i wasn't entirely comfortable, but i told her that i would be happy with everything once they were done with the fussing. BD then goes on to tell me i need to get used to the idea of attention being paid to me. i sighed and agreed. she's right. she's smart like that.

anyway, i am quite pleased with the results... in fact, i remarked that this is by far the best hair cut i've ever had. using a straight razor does miracles with my hair... i really like it. i was surprised at just how nicely it turned out. yes, i do have pictures... here's a before (taken a few weeks ago... by accident really... stupid isight taking pictures whenever it pleases) and then an after.

BD was quite impressed... she likes running her hands through it... hehe... i'm not going to complain.

so yeah... glad i did it... and well, i'll probably be using this place from now on. really... i know it cost more, but yeah... "you get what you pay for" at least in this area and in my experience is so very true.

well, i should get some sleep now. catch yuz tomorrow :)

  • LoL ok I was aware you could pay that much but not that people did that much :p. Hehe, no really, nice haircut though like Solemn Dragon said we need a pic with the highlights showing.

Then again that could have something to do with the fact I don't think we have any place that gives fancy haircuts around here. Not unless supercuts counts. :) Hehe, no really, nice haircut though like Solemn Dragon said we need a pic with the highlights showing.

      hehe... yeah i thought that camera (my isight) would do the job... i guess not. but thanks :)

      actually the total damage was $190 (after tip). yeah... expensive, but hey... it was an experience :)

  • Forgive me, but I don't see that much of a difference between pictures. So for me, $190 wouldn't have been well spent.

    It may be that it's easier to style and looks better in person, but the pictures don't do the cut justice.

    Heh heh. Maybe you have to visit the west coast so I can see it in person.

      hmph... yeah... on my lcd screen i can see the differences... but yeah... the camera i used wasn't the best... in fact... i'm thinking it actually kinda sucks for this type of application... an isight... sure its good for online conferences and whatnot... but still photos to pick up the subtle nuances in hair highlight colors... and how a straight razor cut is much better than a scissor for me.
