Journal blinder's Journal: Operation Dragons Go West 6
well i picked up SolemnDragon from the airport this morning, and while we had talked about the possibility at some point in the past of taking a trip out west, she has just learned that her vacation to maryland has been, how shall we say? pre-empted.
tomorrow morning i take sol back to the airport where she gets on a plane headed for john wayne international airport (located in orange county california). i will be tagging along. that's okay... she doesn't believe me either. hehehe... just wait and see.
i haven't been out to southern california in a long while (over 4 years?)... and its high time that i went back. i had been planning to go for a while now, but now present circumstances permit such a visit. have had a rough year so far and i figure i've earned a little time away. sol has had herself a tough year as well and so i also figured she could stand to look out at the pacific ocean for a few days.
i used to go out to southern california almost every year and i miss it. it's time to go back.
she does have a choice, i will lend her the computer to post (and hopefully that will include gwe stuff) and if any of you for a moment wouldn't run away with wicked to another coast for fun, raise your hand so i know who snicker at. as for me, i finally have friends to travel with, and have done enough traveling to know that it was something lacking.

Not that there is much here. We do have some big trees [wikipedia.org] up in the mountains.
But many a car seem to break down at Tulare - and then you are only 15 minutes away. You'd have to take 99 Freeway to tempt the car-breaking gods.
