A few months ago I found out about the Onion site from a friend. Never have I taken the site seriously nor do I take it seriously now, much like I do not take our President seriously. The Onion is a parody site much like the long running Saturday Night Live, which the last time I checked has been going strong for over thirty years with little to no controversy. Of course I support the troops overseas right now, and I pray every night for their safe return. Some would say that I am being unpatriotic because I am not blindly following our President who has led us to war, and I know this is not the case I choose to express my patriotism through my first amendment right guaranteed by the longest standing document in American history, The Constitution. I think a bit of humor is needed in this matter, because if it wasn't for the comedy of a few, then this unfortunate war would seem even more ghastly than it already is.
