Known VPN services have identifiable server addresses that can be blocked. Instead, you can set up a cheap raspberry pi (or other) at your home and use an encrypted SSH connection to that [raspberry pi] from far away. Then turn on your SOCKS proxy (part of WiFi Details on Macintosh) and check to see that your IP address shows to the world you access as that of your raspberry pi. I do this all the time, including right now. It also helps to watch sports events.

You might have missed that Musk made the same claim about 2016, with the 1-camera sensor system. The 2017 claim was with the newer 8-camera system, and the claim was made before Tesla even had software for the new sensors, and the Tesla then lacked adaptive cruise control, adaptive high beam, self parking, summon, and other things that the prior model did have. I'm embarrassed that I actually believed these claims.

I am careful in all such interviews to say that Facebook is fine for anyone who likes it, for whom the plusses outweigh any minuses. I state that it's just wrong for me, myself, or others like myself. How can I not be "right" about that?

this is the idea of Qubes. I didn't think I'd be able to use it as my primary OS, but set myself a challenge to use it on a month-long trip to the UK, surprisingly it worked out pretty well and I use Qubes now as my main OS.

Not to mention the sickening crunch when the person in front of you on the plane reclines their seat...

All through that interview I just wanted that Trevor Dickinson guy to stfu. He didn't seem to add anything of any value to the conversation, and ended up just interrupting David Pleasance. Really irritating man.

In California, businesses (like restaurants) can refuse to accept money from anyone for any reason. They are not required to do business just because you have dollars or legal tender. If they don't like the fact that you are trying to pay in pennies, they don't have to accept it. Therefore, some business could legally refuse dollars but accept bitcoin if they wanted to.

I worked in Spain many times when I was still living in England. We would typically turn up around 9AM and work till around 3PM, then take 2-3 hours for lunch, and then go back to work till about 10-10:30PM and then leave to go and have dinner.
It was hard to adapt, especially if the previous week I had been working in Germany or something like that, where it's a 07:30-08:00 start, an hour for lunch, and then knock off no later than 6PM.
One nice lunch I vaguely remember in Spain:
3x beers
Some meat on a plate that you cooked yourself over a little stove
2x jugs of Sangria
Some doughnuts that you dip in a chocolate
3x shots of aguardiente (or some other liquor)
a token espresso
