Submission + - User Forks FileZilla FTP Client After Getting Hacked 3

Entropy98 writes: A frustrated FileZilla user took matters into his own hands after getting hacked due to the fact that his saved passwords were being saved in plain text files.

Finally fed up one user forked FileZilla and created FileZilla Secure with the Master Password option.

Submission + - Tumor-causing VeriChip removed from inventor (pesn.com) 1

An anonymous reader writes: Bob Boyce, a highly-revered inventor of ultra-efficient electrolysis systems and of a self-charging battery circuit (harnessing energy from the environment, possibly from zero point energy), contracted terminal cancer last year, and that the originating point was a VeriChip microchip that someone implanted in his right shoulder without his knowledge or permission. After it was removed (but the pathologist report omitted mention of it) along with a tumor, a second chip was discovered and confirmed by X-ray and chip-reading equipment. A year later (Dec. 6, 2010), he had it removed, along with more tumor. This time he had the medical team document it with photos, and the surgeon placed the "foreign body" in a specimen container and sealed it to establish chain of custody evidence. The VeriChip has been documented to spur tumors in animals. In this case, it is a human, as victim of someone with some shady motivations.
