ISP owner running against Orin Hatch in Utah

A tech-minded ISP owner who is hoping for a major upset in the race for Utah State Senator against long-time incumbant Orin Hatch. Ashdown hopes to help pave the way for better decision-making on the hill regarding technology.
"...if anyone can clue Congress in to technology before it legislates the internet into a bunch of pneumatic tubes, it's Ashdown, who breathes bytes and exhales bits."

Hatch is amongst the more conservative politicans on the issue of "digital privacy" and "fair use", while one of Ashdown's main objectives is to reform the Digital Millenium Copyright Act."
