  • You got rid of my IR port, traveling or using devices is great with that. One of the main reasons I have not upgraded my Note 4.
  • You got rid of my built-in RF modulator. Great for traveling, just tune radio to what your phone is set... even talk over radio. N900
  • Find a way to support replaceable batteries while being waterproof
  • Stop changing the form factor, let our cases, screen protectors, charging cables, otg, hdmi, etc all work with new gen models
  • Have drastic changes if you want us to buy more
  • Don't expect existing customers to fill your bottom line unless the updated device is spectacular
  • Fix your bugs before deploy, S8+ has a static sound while in motion, and other bugs that should have never passed Q/A

I didn't read the pay-walled study, but the article and /. post didn't mention a control group.
Maybe the repeated same activity was slowed down over those channels because the exercise had already been done, new paths were created and the brain didn't need to follow the old route anymore. I would want to know the difference from repeating an activity the next day, vs doing it the next day with sleep.

While I love SoftEther and the VPNGate project... if all traffic from x-node is going to the same route, it likely is a VPN.  The next phase of VPNGate is to make bouncing nodes and fake traffic with a huge number of servers or cloud providers.  Have real, popular, sites hosted on the same https paths, etc.  Have those sites implement a push notification system on them, so there is always a constant need for open sockets, etc.  I'm just throwing out ideas, but SoftEther, alone in it's current state would not be enough.

Why can I use Netflix on a privileged PC but not a rooted phone?

Not having updates on rooted devices through the play store will force users to download Netflix updates through untrusted sources which could be modified to steal credentials.

DRM has a history of not stopping piracy, just annoying users and reducing battery life.

I root my androids to do advanced mounting and linking of apps beyond what standard app2sd can do.

They lost me as a customer, but also they have not cared about a functional app on non-touch devices. I've been messaging them for a while about supporting play/pause with the space bar or multimedia keys on wireless USB keyboards and not forcing mouse use. There is a hack you can use, press left or right to move navigation forward and back, then pressing ok while the ui is up. It still is not user friendly, but allows quicker pausing.

I felt bad for Netflix after the leak and extortion with Orange is the New Black as they were one of the good guys. Now they are SCUM.

Terrorists No Longer Welcome On OneDrive, Outlook, Xbox Live (betanews.com) 81

Microsoft has updated its anti-terrorism policies. In a blog post, the Redmond, Washington-based company said that it would remove "terrorist content" from a fleet of its services including OneDrive, Outlook and Xbox Live, reports BetaNews. For its search engine Bing, however, Microsoft says that it would only remove links when it is required by local law, citing free expression for all. The company adds that it would fund research for a tool that could help it better scan such content and flag image, audio and video. From company's blog post: There is no universally accepted definition of terrorist content. For purposes of our services, we will consider terrorist content to be material posted by or in support of organizations included on the Consolidated United Nations Security Council Sanctions List that depicts graphic violence, encourages violent action, endorses a terrorist organization or its acts, or encourages people to join such groups. The UN Sanctions List includes a list of groups that the UN Security Council considers to be terrorist organizations.
