The scary part is that a lot of these come with crappy extreme low cost cells, this is especially true in power banks. A $4 Samsung is much different than a $.50 no name cell. Most people have no idea about cell quality.
Maybe I'm just too old school, but I really don't get the hands free craze. You can't browse your phone, read a book or really do anything but stare straight ahead. I guess it would be helpful in stop and go traffic but that's about it.
It has to have a rear view camera, required by law. You might as well have a basic infotainment screen and android auto / carplay if you are going to have a screen anyway.
Fantastic car, I wish GM kept making them.
I live near a hundred of them, in Ashburn Va. They are everywhere here. One turned on near me and I have exceptionally good hearing, along with some of my neighbors. We can all hear the low pitched humming from its rooftop coolers. I can't wait to move in a few years.
We're fresh out of A's, sorry, maybe next semester you'll be luckier. Cheers!
Hey get in line, no cutting.
I buy a Tesla. I have it drop me off at work. Then it roams the city sitting in 1-hr free parking spots for the next 8 hours - instead of paying $30 to park at the building lot for the day. Now add 1000 people doing the same thing. The Waymo sitting is the tip of the iceberg to the upcoming problem.
No idea, just know its from the data centers, or a data center. One user in our group said it was from a failing cooler, but the noise has persisted even after they said its been fixed (again according to this person on the fb feed, they said after contacting the center it took almost 3 weeks to get it addressed).
I live a few miles from several of these, and I have very good hearing. Imagine hearing a propeller plane like a Cessna far out in the distance. I hear it, but my wife can't. It's gets drowned out, but in the mornings when its quiet it annoys the heck out of me. Our local fb community group has a dozen or so posts about people who hear it too.
Maybe something fresh like AI taking jobs away.
Remind me to buy stock in ONI.
What high maintenance? I have a Prius with 170k miles. I've done nothing but oil changes to it.
I bought a Rav4 Hybrid a month ago. Had to put $2k down on it, it was on it's way from the factory to the dealer. Every other Rav4 Hybrid they had was marked under contract still awaiting to be built. We were told got very lucky one was open.
