Television Set's Journal: The 503 Cafe Is Open

I have found many discussions regarding the problem with 503's to be a favorite target among /.'s moderators. Therefore, I have set aside this thread away from the threads where ranting and raving, or just discussing whatever else might get modded down -1 offtopic is fine. Be wary though, it is my understanding that these journals are often viewed by people with mod points. :)

What works best for you when the "503 service unavailable" error hits? Log out? Switch browsers? Its been off and on for me all day, using my work PC (Windows XP, Firefox 0.9.2)

Well - I too got many of those 503 errors. In fact I was having some kind of smoke withdrawal syndrome yesterday. A couple of reloads and occasional cooki e removal usually gets me the page.

I have gotten them in Safari on the mac, so who knows
Firefox as well

Yeah, it seems to be system wide... but only in the mornings. Its been fine all afternoon. :) Maybe they got it all sorted out.
