Journal TechnoLust's Journal: The arrival of SlashChick 8
I picked her up at the airport with very few problems. (I told her I'd wait on her at Baggage Claim and she couldn't find me. I was at Terminal South and she was at Terminal North... opps! She called and we figured it out and after that it was smooth sailing.) We went to a place I like to eat in Virgina-Highlands and she marvelled at the menu. Apparently Cali has very few fried items and a lot more healthy choices. She said she hadn't seen "Fried Chicken" on a menu in years. I told her if she gets homesick for that kind of food, I could take her to Doc Green's or one of the other places I've never even considered eating.
Antifreeze kept IMing us on our phones until SlashChick told him to get back to work. I don't know what she said, but it was something about whipping him with a cat o' nine tails when she got back if he slacked off again.
So we get back to my place and I set her up with my WEP key, and checked my email. She checked hers as well. Then I said I needed to go to sleep so I'd be well rested today. She said, "You aren't going to sleep without satisfying me!" and started ripping my clothes off. I'm kidding, that last part didn't really happen... we watched Animaniacs and ate some peanut butter double stuffed oreos, then I went to sleep.
The VP of HR just sent out an email telling us we can all go home at 3pm to get an early start on the holiday! SCORE!
Now wait a minute! (Score:2)
I IM'd you _once_ (and I didn't realize it was your cell), to make sure SlashChick arrived safely. My paycheck depends on her well-being!
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
