My contract ended today, so I'm looking for work again. I'm hoping to stay in the Atlanta area, but I don't know for sure. I still have contact in other areas, and my place in TN. I guess we'll see what happens.

        Why would your manager threaten to stop payment?
      • well when i woke up, i figured it you were ever to write something like that, you just might think better of it anyway. and then i thought, that if you did, i'd want to try to say 'you were right - and better off' without saying anything that might get you in trouble. there are not too many forms of speach that get me really, really angry. but i'll tell ya- you were more self-controlled than i would have been.
        • I grew up in rural TN. I've seen racisim, but I learned the only thing that counter acts that is ignoring it. If you make a big deal of it, the racists get their way anyway. I ignore it and if it comes up, I don't worry about it. I'm just me no matter what the circumstance.

        • He knew Ed and I knew each other from slashdot, and that I used TechnoLust as my signon to my laptop, so he checked slashdot for that and found my JE. I'm pretty sure he was reading it the whole time I worked there. So when I posted that JE expressing my opinions of his managerial skills and racist attitude, he called my cell phone threatening to sue me. When I pointed out I didn't identify him or the company name and therefore he had no grounds, he decided to threaten to stop payment on my check. I coul
