Talinom's Journal: This morning at 7/11

In the mornings I stop off at the 7/11 just down the hill from where I work. A couple of guys from the middle east work there. They are nice and we'll sometimes talk a little bit before I head up to work.

As I walked up to the door this morning I noticed a sign saying something to the effect:
While we enjoy Halloween we ask that you please remove your mask before entering the store.

My first thought was:
Does that include veils?

I'm gonna burn in hell for that one, but at least I'll be able to toast hot dogs and marshmallows while I'm down there.

Assuming Christianity is right it's totally cool to goof on Muslims.

They are probably more afraid of someone taking advantage of the easy opportunity to rob them.

I don't think that this decision was based on any religious beliefs, though the crack about the veil *is* pretty funny.... <grin>

When I worked at 7-11 two Hallowe'ens ago, we had the mask sign up for the entire week. A few times we were asked if masked customers were a regular problem.

Apparently, not everyone connects Hallowe'en with masks.
