Not just any blue lamp, it's the IKEA lamp of yore. :^)

Unfortunately, its magical powers do not extend so far as to get me a shiny new iMac. :^( This one *pat pat* is in its 6th year of being.

Nope. It'll be six years old in May. It's a tray loading Blueberry, which makes it the generation immediately following Bondi blue. 2 USB ports 192 MB memory, 40 GB HD, 333 MHz of awesomeness. :^)

And I have no interest in a laptop, the new iMacs being as beautiful as they are. :^)

Your place (and blinder's and bethaine's) are all much cleaner than mine.

I am a complete slob and I live with people who are even worse slobs. It doesn't help that they are doing some construction on the spare bedroom and rec room to turn it into a master suite.

Not that I mind too much, but I wish they:
a) Wouldn't pile shit up in the path between my room and the exterior door, bathroom, and kitchen.

Yep. That would be me and BoE.

Sometimes one of us gets pissed off enough to do a whirlwind cleanup, but on the whole we're both on the slobby side.

(Which is kinda bad in Germany, the land of ORDER. You VILL kleen up ze room every fife sekonds, or ve shoot!)

This is why we love each other, of course. We can always blame the other one for the mess. ;-)
