Journal SolemnDragon's Journal: Another day, anothr mystery reaction 12

Don't know to what.

I mean, don't have a CLUE.

Pretty scary. Not as bad as the initial reaction- less swelling, i'm going to try to go to work. still scary as hell.

I look somewhat normal, this time- the rash is contained mostly to my neck and left shoulder, with minimum renewal of the rash on my face.

I'm sure that i'll be oke, but i'm fucking terrified having to put a 'hospital trip plan' in place for my workday, just in case i actually have to follow it. (Plan: a.) call boss. call blinder, let them know. b.) go to hospital, hopefully to walk-in rather than ER. c.) get treatment, go home. Rinse, try not to repeat.)

Fucking scary, i tell you.

The good news is that since this happened while i was briefly off my atenolol, i can now go back on it, because it probably isn't that one.

*sigh*

Reports to follow soon, expected to read, "rash went down, miraculous recovery expected."

'cause nothing else seems to be working.

Happy monday.

  • it IS b1inder!
    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
  • Mrs. Gecko went through something like this a while back, and we ran through all kinds of things trying to figure out what it was. Just a couple of things to think about - you probaby already have, but maybe this can give you some ideas?

Changed your laundry detergent recently (within the last few months)? Maybe a new brand of hand soap?

How about your new clothes - are they the same type of fabric you're used to wearing?

Got something blooming in the yard that maybe doesn't till this time of year?

    Gone

  • Do you breathe fire? Because I'm not sure if there are yet bubbles that can withstand fire-breathing dragons. You may want to look into having one made, though.
  • hope you feel better soon. Death to allergies!
  • ....if it wouldn't be a good idea to start carrying anti-allergy stuff with you at all times, at least until the primary allergen is discovered. I know people who carry Epi-pens because they never know when they'll react or even what they'll react to.

How frustrating, especially when you're not even trying anything new right now. Maybe it wouldn't be farfetched to suspect blinder's soap, shampoo, something like that? Maybe something that he doesn't use all the time or just started using recently? I know, I'm
    • no, it's not blinder's stuff. THis is most likely a food allergy, since i've had some new ones cropping up. That's the trouble- i didn't used to have allergies, so suddenly having them means i'm learning the hard way what to avoid.
    • i use only the organic stuff sol uses. i follow a nearly 100% gluten-free diet now and basically use only products that sol has been using.

i am *very* careful to not introduce anything that may be a contamination, even before this... because of the celiac.

and like sol said... she has been developing new food alergies over the last... 9 months. hell, here's a short story for you.

when sol came down this past january to record... i was making a salad and was including green peppers. sol loves green peppers. we

Dead? No excuse for laying off work.

Working...
